When Youth Forum decided to celebrate Saraswati Puja 2026, we didn't want just a puja. We wanted an event that embodied everything we stand for — service to the community, the spread of knowledge, and the richness of our culture.
The result: a 5-day festival from January 22 to 26, 2026, at Subhasgram, Kolkata — the most ambitious event Youth Forum has organized to date.
Seva — Service. Shiksha — Education. Sanskriti — Culture.
These three pillars define Youth Forum. Our Saraswati Puja 2026 theme was chosen to reflect the work we do every day: serving our community, educating the next generation, and celebrating the culture that binds us together.
Saraswati — the goddess of knowledge, wisdom, and the arts — is the perfect symbol for everything we aspire to be.
Our flagship exhibition returned in its largest form yet. Students from government schools across South 24 Parganas explored:
Over 500 students participated across the two exhibition days.
In collaboration with the Kolkata Astronomy Centre, we hosted an interactive astronomy session — solar system exploration, astrophotography, and an evening telescope session where attendees spotted Jupiter with their own eyes.
A hands-on, half-day robotics workshop for young students led by volunteer engineers. Participants built and programmed simple robots from scratch — many for the first time in their lives.
The most emotionally moving day of the festival. Children from Apanjan Orphanage performed traditional Bengali songs, dance, and recitation — showcasing their incredible talent and resilience. The audience gave them a standing ovation.
Youth Forum also presented the children with gift packages and new garments as part of our ongoing Gift a Smile initiative.
Alongside every program, our traditional Saraswati Puja ceremonies were conducted with full reverence — morning prayers, anjali, prasad distribution, and cultural programs celebrating the goddess of learning.
Saraswati Puja 2026 was made possible by:
For Youth Forum, Saraswati Puja 2026 was proof that a grassroots community organization — run entirely by volunteers — can create something extraordinary.
We brought science to children who rarely access it. We gave orphanage children a stage. We celebrated our culture while building our future. And we did it all in the spirit of Seva, Shiksha, O Sanskriti.
